General
Admission dates are announced on the website and in major newspapers. Admissions are open twice a year for Spring and Fall.
Yes, however they have to complete their file with all academic records within a semester of their studies at Greenwich; this is in addition to the condition that the students have no deficiency in the previous years of their academic qualification.
Junior or Senior year teachers who know the applicant well should write the recommendation letters. Applicants may also choose someone other than blood relatives to write the recommendation letter who knows the applicants abilities.
All candidates are required to sit for the University Placement Test (UPT). The Test is to judge the intellectual capability, managerial potential and personal facts of the applicant. Test comprises of English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. Sample Test paper is provided in the admission pack as well as also available on the website.
All candidates are advised to read daily English newspapers for improvement in General Knowledge and English language. Mathematics section covers basic concepts.
University Placement Test is conducted after the last date of application. Date and time of the UPT is conveyed to the candidate through email, SMS and phone call. Candidates scoring reasonable grade in the UPT are called for Interview and Group Discussion. Letters for interview are sent through email and courier. The successful candidates are notified to pick up their acceptance letter with invoice.. In addition to this Manager Coordination may contact the applicant through phone/SMS/email.
Yes. Applicant must in writing request deferment and specify which semester he/she would like to resume studies.
There are two semesters in a year at Greenwich. Fall and Spring.
Yes. A Summer Program is offered to students who want to catch up with studies during summer break. List of courses on offer is displayed at the Communication Centre two weeks before Mid-Term Examination of Spring Term. Registration ends before Mid Term Examination. Regular as well as visiting students can take Summer Program. A student in general can take two courses in Summer Program. Duration is usually six to eight weeks.
The time table slots are 10:00-1:00, 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-9:00. The faculty for core courses sometime opts to take classes on Saturdays and Sundays, the same is notified in the beginning of the term.
Greenwich has well established Corporate Placement Office. The office arranges placements and internships for students at various national and multinational organizations including foreign and local banks. Internship program lasts for 6 – 8 weeks. Internships are structured so that students can apply their classroom knowledge to a practical work setting.
Yes. Applicants are welcome to sit in on classes for short duration of half an hour after taking approval from the Communication Center on the recommendation of the Counselor.
Permanent faculty members are academic counselors / advisors at Greenwich. They assist and guide students with program planning and help them in learning policies and procedures, fulfilling graduation requirements on time, explaining transfer of credit process information. Students are advised to consult them on regular basis through the reception on all the issues.
Yes. Applicants can contact students working with admission office through admission counselors.
Yes. Financial Assistance is given to students on the basis of sports, need and merit. There is some fee waiver for siblings also. Students may also opt for financial assistance by Ihsan Trust. Students with Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.8 on scale of 4 are given 25% scholarship on tuition fees. A financial assistance form is required to be filled in with attachments to qualify for consideration during the second term of studies. To fill out the form, please consult the Communication department.
Transport facility is only for girls residing in Defence and Clifton area.
Yes. We have active sports activities at Greenwich. Many of our students, individually and collectively, have won trophies in various tournaments. Admission on the basis of sports need to be reviewed by the Admission Committee. However, the applicant applying on the basis of sports needs to fulfill the minimum admission requirements.
Yes. We do have lots of activities every semester which also include regular foreign trips of students and faculty.
There is a wide variety of options: concerts, sport events, distinguished guest speakers, and extracurricular activities like movie and cricket shows, caricature competitions, singing and naat competitions, debates, speeches, etc. There are a number of societies, being run by students which hold events and actively participate on different platforms as well.

Accreditation is a system for recognizing educational qualification as defined by the profession or other accrediting bodies.
HEC is the accrediting body for all private and public sector universities. Greenwich is in the top most category of HEC, which is “W”, formerly called “A” category.
The Greenwich University is located in Phase VI, Darakshan, DHA. Next to Beach Avenue. Prominent directions are there on major roads leading to the University. Applicant driving from Kala pul should take Korangi Road and Right Turn towards Defence. We do not have hostel facility in the campus. However, in some cases and upon special request, accommodation may be arranged by the University.

At Greenwich, yes. It is possible within first two semesters of the program provided if the Bachelors program admission requirements are fulfilled. Degree holders of Associate Degree can complete Bachelors program within two years. Admission into other universities depends on those universities’ admission criteria.
THE DURATION OF ASSOCIATE PROGRAM IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IS 4 SEMESTERS, 2 YEARS 66 CREDIT HOURS.
Requirements for degree are as follows:
  • *  Passing 21 courses with cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.50 on scale of 4.00.

  • *  Completing internship of 6-8 weeks covering 3 credit hours.
  • *  Valid TOEFL/IELTS score.
  • *  Passing Comprehensive Examination and Viva.

THE DURATION OF ASSOCIATE PROGRAM IN MASS COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA STUDIES IS TWO YEARS, 21 COURSES, 66 CREDIT HOURS.
Requirements for degree are as follows:
  • *  21 courses with cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.50 on scale of 4.00.
  • *  (3 more courses in which placement is determined on the basis of UPT)
  • *  Completing internship of 6-8 weeks covering 3 credit hours.
  • *  Valid TOEFL/IELTS score.
  • *  Passing Comprehensive Examination and Viva.
A Tuition fee per course is Rs. 12,810*. Registration/Library/Sports/Examination and other fee charges are written in the fee structure. Up-to-date information about fees is available before the beginning of each financial year/semester.

Undergraduate

3 A levels subjects with grade “C” or higher / minimum 50% in Intermediate. All documents need to be attested by Notary Public. The recommendation forms should not be from family members.
All applicants are required to sit the UPT. However, applicants with SAT I scores exceeding 1900 are exempted from the undergraduate UPT; nevertheless they have to appear for the interview and group discussion.
Applicants can transfer their credits from other universities. The university has to be HEC recognized. Only B and higher grades are transferable. Undergraduate transfer students must complete 50% of their studies at Greenwich to take the degree.

Transfer of credit of courses studied at Greenwich is also possible. Many students of Greenwich have completed their degree with the transfer of credits to universities in UK, USA, Australia, Malaysia. However every university has its own policy for transfer of credits, therefore students must check for the status of transfer of credits from concerned universities.
The duration of Bachelor program of Business Administration Program is four (4) years.

At Greenwich we have 2 programs at Masters Level in English. Literature and the other in Linguistics.

M.Phil / MS Degree with 3.0 GPA on a scale of 4.0 and in the annual system first division is required.
Course work of 8 courses (24 credit hours), Dissertation (6 credit hours)
Yes. A candidate seeking admission into MS/M.Phil. must submit a research proposal (about 1,000 words) with the application, which may focus on:
  • a) Specification of the broad field of study
  • b) Statement of the research problem and scope and objectives of the study c) The rationale for and the significance of the study
  • c) The candidate’s research / work experience in that area, if any, and e) The methodology to be followed.
Classes are on Saturday & Sunday
  • 1. The candidate is required to appear in Greenwich University Placement Test and Interview.
  • 2. Students who have passed NTS test will be exempted from appearing in test. However, they will have to appear for the Interview.
  • 3. The test comprise of the following sections:Qualitative & Quantitative, Verbal Non-Verbal and Analytical Reasoning.
The candidate will be required to score at least 50% marks in section I and section II separately to become eligible for consideration for provisional admission.
We do not have hostel facility in the campus. However, on request it can be accommodate in the nearest vicinity on a walking distance by the administration.
Admission are made on the basis of the application form, research proposal, transcripts and references, Interview. Provisional admission will be given to students without NTS score.
The GRE subject test is required for the Ph.D admission with 50% passing marks. GMAT is not required.
Tuition fee per course is 18,300. Registration and other fees are written in the fee structure. Up-to-date information about fees is available before the beginning of each financial year/semester.
Financial assistance facility is available for deserving students. You have to apply for financial assistance to the committee.
GAT test conducted by the National Testing Service is required to be qualified with a minimum 50% score at the time of admission or within two semester of course work of M.Phil./M.S. program.
The defense is done in a public presentation in which teachers, students, and the general public can participate. The Scholar presents his/her Research Work and answers the questions of the audience. Public thesis defense is mandatory, in the presence of a board of senior researchers, consisting of members from an outside organization or university.
The university send the thesis to foreign Evaluators for the evaluation.
Course work of 18 credit hours preferably in the first year is required to be completed and followed by a comprehensive examination for granting candidacy as Ph.D researcher.
The Ph.D. Dissertation must be evaluated by at least two Ph.D. experts from technologically/academically advanced foreign countries in addition to local Committee members.
An open defense of Dissertation is an essential part of Ph.D Program.
Acceptance/publication of at least one research paper in an HEC approved “X” category journal is a requirement for the award of Ph.D. degree (“Y” in case of Social Sciences only).
The Plagiarism Test must be conducted on the Dissertation before its submission to the two foreign experts.
A copy of Ph.D. Dissertation (both hard and soft) must be submitted to HEC for record in Ph.D. Country Directory and for attestation of the PhD degree by the HEC.

The qualification can be obtained between three to four years depending on exemptions in subjects. Applicants must take a module of Ethics and Professional Skills besides 13 modules of the ACCA program.
