Who can apply

Greenwich University admits applicants who meet published academic and intake requirements for each level of study. Meeting eligibility is the first step toward placement testing, interview and an offer. Students awaiting results may apply and complete records within the timeframe set by Admissions.

Undergraduate

Associate & Undergraduate (Bachelor’s)

HSC, A-Levels, American High School Diploma or recognised equivalent.

Eligibility

Associate or Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) programmes require one of the following:

  • Higher Secondary School (HSC) Certificate with a minimum of 55% marks
  • Or 03 A-Levels passes
  • Or American High School Diploma with CGPA 2.5 or equivalent
  • Or Recognised overseas equivalence diploma
  • Or any other recognised equivalent qualification

Students awaiting results may apply.

In addition — weightage

  • Academic qualification50%
  • University Placement Test40%
  • Interview & group discussion10%

Background & intake process

  • At least 8 O-Levels passes or minimum 55% marks in SSC or equivalent
  • Panel interview conducted by Greenwich University
  • Recommendations and guardian / parents statement in favour of applicant

No admission or security deposit required.

Graduate

Graduate (Master’s)

Sixteen years of education, or a recognised four-year overseas bachelor’s.

Eligibility

Graduate (Master’s) programmes require:

  • Sixteen years of education in a relevant field with high second division or equivalent from recognised institutes / universities
  • Or four years overseas recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Two-year bachelor (BCom / BA / BSc) students may apply for an undergraduate degree pathway where appropriate

  • Academic qualification50 marks
  • University Placement Test40 marks
  • Interview & group discussion10 marks

Background & intake process

  • At least 2.5 CGPA in Bachelor’s or minimum 2nd division or equivalent
  • IBCC equivalency will be required in case of foreign qualification / board
  • Panel interview conducted by Greenwich University
  • Recommendations and guardian / parents statement in favour of applicant
  • GMAT (minimum score 400) or GRE (minimum score 50%) is a degree requirement

MPhil / MS

Postgraduate (MPhil / MS)

Sixteen years of education plus GAT General and interview.

Eligibility

Postgraduate (MPhil / MS) programmes require:

  • Sixteen years of education in a relevant field with high second division or equivalent from recognised institutes / universities
  • Or four years overseas recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • GAT General40 marks
  • Interview10 marks

Background & intake process

  • At least 2.5 CGPA in Bachelor’s or minimum 2nd division or equivalent
  • IBCC equivalency will be required in case of foreign qualification / board
  • Entry test (GUGAT) and interview conducted by Greenwich
  • Recommendations and guardian / parents statement in favour of applicant
  • GMAT (minimum score 400) or GRE (minimum score 50%) may apply as a degree requirement where stated

Doctorate

Doctorate (PhD)

Eighteen years of education, GAT Subject, research proposal and interview.

Eligibility

Doctorate (PhD) programmes require:

  • Eighteen years of education in a relevant field with high second division or equivalent from recognised institutes / universities
  • Or two years overseas recognised master’s degree or equivalent
  • GAT Subject Test will be conducted by Greenwich University
  • PhD scrutiny of documents will take seven days

  • At least 3.0 CGPA in Master’s / M.Phil / MS or 1st division or equivalent

Certificate / short courses

Pathways while completing O-Levels, SSC or HSC in progress.

Eligibility

Certificate / short course pathways typically require:

  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in progress
  • Or O-Levels or SSC completed
  • Or equivalent qualification by technical boards
  • Or recognised overseas equivalence diploma
  • Or any other recognised equivalent qualification

Opportunities — credit transfer & exemptions

  • When a student clears a short certified course, credits may transfer to a subsequent programme
  • Exemptions are considered depending on relevancy of the course
  • Time invested in a short course may be counted towards programme completion
  • Eligibility for scholarships may apply as published

Time toward completion

Time invested in an approved short course may count toward programme completion.

How merit is assessed

Weightage varies slightly by level. Undergraduate and Master’s emphasise the University Placement Test; MPhil / MS and PhD emphasise GAT with interview.

Admission process

From application to enrollment — what to expect after you meet eligibility.

  1. Step 01 Application

    Submit your online application with the required academic details.

  2. Step 02 Document verification

    Admissions reviews certificates, equivalency and supporting statements.

  3. Step 03 Placement / entry test

    Sit the University Placement Test, GUGAT or GAT Subject as required for your level.

  4. Step 04 Interview

    Panel interview and, where applicable, group discussion.

  5. Step 05 Admission offer

    Successful candidates receive an acceptance letter with invoice.

  6. Step 06 Enrollment

    Complete fee payment and registration to join your semester.

CNIC / Passport

Valid national identity card or passport for identification.

From teachers or referees who know your ability — not family members.

Research proposal

Required for MPhil / MS / PhD applicants (about 1,000 words for research degrees).

Photographs

Recent passport-size photographs as specified in the application pack.
