ARY School of Media Studies

Learn where the stories are made.

Pakistan's first co-branded media-studies institution — a working bridge between university learning and a real broadcaster. Founded on a 15-year MoU between Greenwich University and the ARY Digital Network, ASOMS fuses a degree-granting school with a working newsroom, studio floor and content factory.

A living media lab — in the heart of DHA, Karachi

Students don't enter a traditional classroom block — they enter a newsroom, studio floor, edit suite and digital content factory. ASOMS fuses a working broadcaster with a degree-granting school so students learn where the country's stories are actually made.

An integrated, assessed 3-Summer Traineeship
Priority employment for strong performers
MoU: Greenwich University (Provost, Dr. Naveed Ahmed Mughal) & ARY Digital Network (CEO, Mr. Jerjees Seja) — 30 October 2025.
The 3-Summer Traineeship

An internship plan that can become your job.

The traineeship isn't a final-year afterthought — it's an integrated, assessed internship plan woven through the degree. Around 24 weeks across ARY's verticals (minimum 15 students per year), it is HEC-compliant and replaces the final-year internship. Your performance is tracked every summer — and strong performers are reviewed for priority employment at ARY on graduation.

Three summers, building toward a career

Each summer raises the stakes — from observing the newsroom to producing real output to a placement that can lead to a job.

ARY 3-summer media traineeship — students in live TV production, Karachi

Summer 1 — Observe

  • Orientation across ARY verticals — news, entertainment, digital
  • Shadow newsrooms, studio floors and edit suites
  • Understand how real media is planned and delivered

Summer 2 — Produce

  • Hands-on studio support on live shows
  • First credited work on real output

Summer 3 — Specialise & Place

  • Specialisation in your chosen vertical
  • Final portfolio + placement report
  • Employment readiness and priority hiring review
